The waitress didn’t even want to go to our table that we could have ordered food at all. Prices completely overpriced in every way. Waited forever for drinks ordered. All - all - guests who came after us were served before us. We didn't order any food and decided to eat somewhere else.

Great restaurant, good food

Great to sit outside. Friendly service, despite the large number of guests, that is not the case everywhere. Food was very good, I had French tarte flambée. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. All in all very good and recommendable.

Super delicious food in a beautiful vaulted cellar, the mixture of old and modern is wonderful. Friendly service and friendly boss, who certainly does not always have it easy and met with little understanding tonight when observing the Corona rules with the group of 7 seniors.

We found seventh heaven by accident. Who hasn't wanted to go to seventh heaven? The food - delicious. From a great selection of tarte flambée to burgers to super delicious tortellini can only be recommended. Add to that great service. Thank you so much!

The food was almost like heaven ? Delicious tortiglioni with fine white wine. The comfortable lounge furniture invites you to linger. Good service (very animal friendly)!

The restaurant really has a very nice location and atmosphere. We have been here several times because we were on vacation in Burkheim and would like to share our experiences. Actually, I was inclined to give 0 stars, because I have the feeling that the health of the (often older) guests is not taken into account. Without exception, all of the service staff we saw ran around either without a mask or with the mask under their noses and served guests on several days. A mask under the nose doesn't work at all, then you should just do it like the young service staff and simply pull the mouth and nose protection under your chin and not pretend to be trying. The service is not really good. I only perceived one service person as really friendly (blonde), the other two didn't seem very motivated. In my opinion, the younger service staff in particular missed the job. She looks absolutely listless. The food is absolutely fine. For the money I've eaten significantly worse, but also significantly better. I think the location and the lack of competition make for the relatively high prices. For similar money we got almost star quality from two well-known brothers from the Kaiserstuhl. So there is one star for the location and one for the food. I would have liked to have given more, but in my opinion that with the masks is not possible at all. I hope you take this review seriously and speak to the service staff.

Nothing going on and that on Saturday evening at the best meal time ? There are 3 waitresses standing around, but nobody asks if you want to have a drink. Fried potatoes swim in the fat and are mushy. Crunchy and fresh is different and at steep prices. Plastic flowers on the tables do not work.

A case for the health department! Once there, we were neither greeted nor noticed, although we had made a reservation. It had taken forever before we could place our order. One person from our group suddenly felt bad and instead of helping, the landlord shouted across the whole beer garden "How impossible that was, that wouldn't work, it was a restaurant and you couldn't behave like that ...." That has nothing to do with discretion, dear restaurateur! So other guests became aware of it. So I believe that we do NOT need to be exposed in public in front of everyone, by a host. Even when the food was served, we were pounded, "we should kindly take the plates off". In addition, the landlord had not worn mouth and nose protection. Then there was only the answer: "It would have been over 50 degrees in the kitchen and today he has stress and a 14 hour day ..." Well, it's not 50 degrees in the beer garden. THIS IS THE VERY LAST SHOP WE HAD EVER EXPERIENCED. Incidentally, this host can not handle criticism at all (see his answers, even with other negative comments, if he has not deleted them again ...)

Very nice restaurant in the old town of Burkheim. If the "Adler" next door has a day off, it can happen that you don't get a seat. In the old town there are only 2 restaurants where you can dine in the evening. We wanted to have dinner and were lucky and we were assigned a clean table outside. This also corresponds to the corona rules. After us it was full and some guests unfortunately had to be turned away. The host kindly explained that they are only two. (An operation which also serves the bar, as well as the landlord who cooks himself in the kitchen). I find that honest with the guests, because if the kitchen and wait staff don't comply, there's an unnecessarily bad mood on both sides and you want to avoid that. Despite the high load, the waitress was very nice and always had an overview. The landlord (= cook) served the food personally. Despite stress, he always had a good saying. The landlord has it all, everything was freshly prepared and the waiting time was within the normal range, despite being alone! The food tasted very good and was not overpriced either. We then had a nice little chat with the waitress when paying and complimented her and the landlord on how they packed it all. We are happy to come back when we are in the Kaiserstuhl again.

Wanted to eat ice cream with three people. Were sent away with the request to come back in 20 minutes as the service had a lot to do. No understanding of sending customers away. Last time there.

So I can not understand these negative comments! Everything is not true. It was very good, nice and reasonably priced. The quality great, no finished products all fresh! Price / performance ratio for what you get is perfectly fine. Will come again

I was eating with the whole family, we would be served by the boss but you immediately noticed that she didn't feel like it at all. Windows were open and we heard how she complained !! Too bad for the bad service, the delicious kitchen breaks.

Very nice ? The food was of good quality. Everything a bit more expensive, but we haven't regretted it. We have been to Burkheim and in 7th heaven very often, we were satisfied as always. The service was exceptionally great, perfect! She had her eyes everywhere, was very friendly and attentive. Only one thing: A restaurant of a fairly high standard ... and plastic flowers on the table. Hello .... that doesn't work ?

Beautiful setting on patio in July. Plentiful portions of meats, average salad, food was acceptable. Black Forest cake was not authentic (cheap version). Service was very good
